




| Selenium addition to chronically tube fed subjects at 5 µg/kg/day (average dose 0.33 µg/kg/day) showed improvement in ECG abnormalities; amelioration of ST-T changes; disappearance of arrhythmias; increases in cardiac function (in addition improvements in skeletal myopathy, fingernail bed abnormalities, pseudoalbinism, macrocytosis of red blood cells and hypothyroidism).
