Lipoprotein (a) (lowering) - Niacin Niacin: Day 1 0.25 gm after lunch, 0.5 gm after dinner and 0.5 gm at night. Day 2 0.25 gm after breakfast, 0.5 mg after lunch, 0.5 gm after dinner and 1 at night. Day 3 0.25 gm after breakfast, 0.5 gm after lunch, 1gm after dinner and 1 gm at night. Day 4 1 gm q.i.d., taken immediately after meals and at bedtime.
