Diet - A high intake of margarine and vegetable oils during pregnancy increases the risk for eczema in the offspring, while high fish intake decreases the risk. Infants born to mothers who ate a lot of celery, citrus fruit, raw sweet pepper and deep-frying vegetable fat during pregnancy were at increased risk for allergic sensitization.
