Kirk Hamilton interviews Dr. Amy Joy Lanou associate professor of Health and Wellness at the University of North Carolina who received her Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from Cornell University and is the co-author of "Building Bone Vitality: A Revolutionary Diet Plan to Prevent Bone Loss and Reverse Osteoporosis--Without Dairy Foods, Calcium, Estrogen, or Drugs," (McGraw Hill, 2009). This book questions the dogma that more calcium, estrogen and drugs are the answer to the epidemic of chronic diseases related to bone loss.
