PROFESSIONAL HEALTH DIRECTED EXPERIENCE
1977-82: Ambulance Technician and Paramedic (1980), Davis Ambulance Service, Davis, California.
1983 - present: Practicing Physicians Assistant. Health Associates Medical Group in Sacramento, California, a nutrient oriented general practice (1986). Practice specialty experiences include: Family Practice, Nutrition, Prevention, Cardiology, Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement, Allergy and Acupuncture, Integrative Medicine.
1989 - 2005: Publisher and founder of Clinical Pearls Publications, Inc, [formerly Information Transfer Services (ITServices)]. Clinical Pearls Publications were derived from an ever-accumulating database of more than 42,000 articles from peer review literature focused on current nutrition and integrative medicine research. The data comes from scanning 1000-1200 medical journals on a monthly basis and summarizing 100-140 of these articles. This data was incorporated into Clinical Pearls One-Liners, a monthly health letter (formerly Clinical Pearls News, 1991 - present) for professionals which was available in print and on the internet. The web site subscription provided password access to the internet for weekly and year-to-date updates, all the Diseases and Cases of the Month ever done, and The Expert Speak Interviews; Clinical Pearls Disease Protocols 2002 - 54 researched disease protocols in nutrition and integrative medicine and 24 Expert Speak interviews. Clinical Pearls 1989-2001 - 13 annual printed volumes of nutrition and integrative medicine research; The Experts Speak 1996 & 1997:The Role of Nutrition and Medicine - 190 interviews of peer review researchers/physicians from around the world on nutrition and integrative medicine topics in print. More than 500 Experts Speak Interviews have been completed to date and are available on the internet. All of these publications were available on CD-ROM or with an on-line subscription to Clinical Pearls One-Liners. Asthma: Clinical Pearls in Nutrition and Complementary Therapies 1997 is a user-friendly resource book for professionals and the lay public containing treatment protocols, self-help charts and over 600 medical references. The entire Clinical Pearls Database from 1989-2004 (which includes everything listed above) was available on one CD-ROM with the ISYS “Runtime” search engine and is updated annually.(All this information is now available at www.vitasearch.com) 1987-92: Radio co-host: Questioning Health. A weekly review of current nutrition articles and open call-in. 1995: Radio host: Prescription 2000. A weekly one hour show with interviews with peer review researchers from the Clinical Pearls database and open phones for questions and article review. Northern California audience.2000: Development of a vegan dietary nutritional supplement line - Prescription 2000.
2004: The rights to the Clinical Pearls Database, The Experts Speak Interviews and Weekly Updates were purchased by Tishcon Corp. rendering the Clinical Pearls services free of charge to the public and health professionals available at www.vitasearch.com .
2005: Continues to produce 8-10 Experts Speak Interviews per month for www.vitasearch.com
